At the Table
- Tim McConnell
Feb. 6
At the Lord’s Table, we sit face to face. During COVID we took communion at home with family, or even sometimes by ourselves. That was a way of accommodating to a global pandemic, but it was not the real intention of communion. God brings us together to the table. We believe some very unique things happen when we come to the table together. We believe Jesus Christ is present to us in a supernatural and divine way. The Holy Spirit does not pull the body and blood of Jesus down from heaven, but does lift us up together to enjoy His real presence. We don’t take communion alone except in extreme circumstances. The point is to be together.
