The Christian life is often rocky, and we need help navigating the rough spots. In this class, we will reflect on the crises of materialism, meaninglessness, feeling, suffering, and death. We will consider relevant Scripture and also journey with C.S. Lewis as he faced the same crises and doubts that we do now as we seek to follow Jesus.

Led by Christie Lee

Oftentimes the effects of traumatic situations are very visible and other times they take months and sometimes years to be seen. In this class we will:
• Identify Trauma (Developmental and Recent)
• Discover how trauma effects the neuropathways in how we make decisions regarding relationships
• Learn and practice tools to minimize trauma reactions
• Allow God to be the Healer
• Understand how community resources can help

Led by Tammy Coleman

Is God far off and removed from this world as some might propose or is He truly present and involved in our human experience? Join us for a five-week study in the Gospel of John as we explore the divine nature of Jesus Christ and His involvement in the lives of ordinary people. We will lean into the stories of Nicodemus (3:1-21), the Samaritan Woman at the Well (4:1-42), the Woman Caught in Adultery (8:1-6), and the Man who was Blind from Birth (9:1-41). See you there!

Led by Steve Alvarez

Join us to learn and practice writing songs for worship. We will learn about what worship music is and the added impact of raising up that music from our own community. If you have been thinking about writing a song, this is where you need to be. This workshop will help you find your voice and use your gifts to glorify God. It will encourage you as you work on completing at least one of the songs you have already begun. All ages are welcome.

As you think about your spiritual life, how do these words resonate with you? Rest, trust, listen and receive. Joy, feast, enter in and stop. In this workshop we'll explore the pivotal spiritual practices that anchor your life in Christ. And we'll learn how to develop a weekly spiritual rhythm of life that opens us to God and produces intimacy with him. Our textbook is Ruth Haley Barton’s superb Sacred Rhythms, which can be purchased online. (We’ll have a few copies you can borrow as well.) Limited enrollment of 30 participants.

Led by Megan Nilsen

Life is frequently challenging, demanding, broken and chaotic. While there are seasons of joy, there are many that leave us confused and gasping for air. What are we to do in those hard places? To whom do we turn when we have more questions than answers? One key to sorting out our thoughts and getting the clarity and peace we desperately desire is to engage in honest conversation with God!
“Beautiful Exchange Journaling” is a strategic, in-depth, guided framework that will help you untangle any thoughts that are keeping you confused, frustrated or stuck and move you into the love and goodness of God, the peace and truth of Jesus, and the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Join Megan Nilsen as she takes you through her new book Untangled Faith: How Honest Conversations with God Lead to Deeper Connections, Clarity, and Peace and teaches the transformative practice of Beautiful Exchange Journaling.

Led by Pastor Pat Hartsock

We will discover and uncover biblical truths and application in our everyday lives about:
• Why did the Father and Jesus even need to send the Holy Spirit?
• Who and what is the Holy Spirit?
• When does one receive the Holy Spirit and how much of the Spirit does one receive?
• How and when is one baptized with and filled with the Holy Spirit?
• How does one experience the person and power of the Holy Spirit?
• What are the gifts and fruit of the Spirit and how do they manifest themselves in our lives?
• What is the Holy Spirit’s person, position and practice within the Trinity?
This class will have refresher as well as new material concerning the Holy Spirit. It will be a practical, understandable and applicable biblical and theological study of the third member of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. Come and get your questions answered as we learn and grow together!

Led by Pastor Matt Holtzman
