At First Pres, we have a passion for Students Ministry. We create opportunities to grow in friendships and social settings by engaging with adventure, affirming their identity they are beginning to establish in Jesus, and mobilizing them to serve the Lord has part of the church and a follower of Jesus in the world.

High School Scavenger Hunt

Our citywide scavenger hunt on Saturday, April 22 will help high school students know their city better while having a lot of fun! We’ll start at the Weber Student Center and end at Bonfort Park (2323 N Wahsatch Ave) with food and a celebration. Invite your friends for this great event to share pizza and drinks and to learn more about First Pres. The cost is $5.

Middle School Lock In

Middle School Ministry encourages students to invite friends and join us for an overnight lock-in Saturday, April 22 at Weber Student Center. We’ll have lots of fun activities, food, drinks and snacks while creating long-lasting memories! Girls will sleep in the Aspen Room and boys in the Spruce Room. The event begins at 5 p.m. with Lock In at 9 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.

Summer Camp Student Volunteers

Hello! We invite you to apply to be a student leader for Summer 2023. Below are camp dates along with required training sessions. We want you to take this opportunity to develop as a leader and to grow in your relationship with Christ as you walk alongside and guide the kids of our church and community. Current 8-11th Graders can apply to be student leaders for all three camps. Current 5-7th graders can apply to be student leaders for VBS.

Camp Elim: June 4-9, 2023 (for rising 3-5th Graders)
Required leader training:

  • Sunday, April 30: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Gym
  • Sunday, May 7: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Gym
  • Saturday, Jun 3: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Camp Elim

Upbeat Music and Drama Camp: June 12-16, 2023 (for rising 3-8th Graders)
Required Leader Training:

  • Sunday, June 11: 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Gym

VBS: July 10-13 (for rising Pre-K to 5th Graders)
Required leader Training

  • Saturday, July 8: 9 a.m. to noon

Connect Sundays

Connect Sundays is a morning youth group feel that is high energy and inviting. This space is an opportunity for our leaders and students to connect and get to know each other in our one-hour discipleship experience. Our biggest value for this space is fellowship. New students have the opportunity to join a small group and begin to get involved with First Pres Student Ministries. Student Ministries want to provide a road map for our student’s faith journey.

Morning Schedule:

  • Doors open 9:50 a.m.
  • Student Ministries start (HSM Aspen & MSM Spruce) 10 a.m.
  • Teaching 10:05 a.m.
  • Small Groups 10:25 a.m.
  • Student are released 11 a.m.

MSM At The Table


Our Middle School students are invited to the Weber Student Center on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. At the Table is an opportunity for students to learn and grow through interactive Bible studies. Our wonderful leaders intentionally create small Bible studies that are topical to provide a space for students to grow deeper as disciples of Jesus Christ. Students will have an opportunity to grow together, partake in the study, play fun activities that can build close relationships, learn leadership skills and continue to cultivate an intentional small group environment. 

At The Table Schedule

  • Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
  • MSM Starts at 6 p.m.
  • Dinner at 6:30 p.m.
  • Programming 6:50 p.m.
  • Games 7 p.m.
  • Teaching 7:15 p.m.
  • Small groups 7:15 to 7:45 p.m.
  • Programming ends 7:45 p.m.

HSM At the Table

For our High School students, At the Table is Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. It's an opportunity for students to learn and grow through interactive Bible studies. Our wonderful leaders intentionally create small bible studies that are topical to provide a space for students to grow deeper as disciples of Jesus Christ. Students will have an opportunity to grow together, partake in the Bible study, play fun activities that can build close relationships, learn leadership skills and continue to cultivate an intentional small group environment.

  • Optional High School Fellowship begins at 5:45 p.m.
  • HSM Starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • Dinner together 6:30 to 6:50 p.m.
  • Programming 6:50 to 7 p.m.
  • Discussion Groups 7 p.m.
  • At The Table ends 8 p.m.
