Little Lights Nursery provides a safe, loving, and faith-filled environment where young children can learn, grow, and play. We follow nurturing practices rooted in Christian values and support each child’s development with care and intention.

OUR PURPOSE

The Nursery is a place for us to be intentional with our families and young children. Every Sunday, we run an Early Learning Program, alongside an Early Discipleship Making program.

WHY WE EXIST

We know that children associate church with God, so we are purposeful that their church experience is fun, warm, and welcoming! We keep children safe, while providing opportunities for spiritual growth and learning through play!

Sundays 8:30 – 11:30 am

Tuesday – Thursday 8:30 – 11:30 am

our commitment to safety

At our nursery, your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. We strictly follow all Colorado state licensing requirements for early childhood programs, including maintaining appropriate child-to-staff ratios:

  • Infants & Toddlers: 1 staff member to every 5 children
  • Preschool/Kindergarten Age: 1 staff member to every 10 children

All our staff members undergo thorough background checks and are trained through Ministry Safe, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide a safe, nurturing environment.

We have a secure check-in and check-out procedure in place. Parents are required to check in through our designated checkpoints, and a matching sticker is required for check-out. If someone unfamiliar arrives to pick up your child, they must be listed on the child’s emergency contact form and present a valid photo ID.

As a parent or guardian, we ask that you notify us in advance any time someone else will be picking up your child.

We strictly adhere to CDC guidelines for sanitizing toys, surfaces, and potty areas, along with all Colorado state standards for health and safety in early childhood settings.

Your child will be greeted by one of our loving staff members and warmly welcomed into their classroom. Each child is assigned to a consistent classroom team so they can develop trusting, familiar relationships with their teachers.

If your child experiences an injury, incident, shows signs of illness, or if we simply feel you should be informed, we will contact you immediately.

Little Lights Nursery at First Presbyterian Church provides a warm, nurturing environment where our youngest church members can experience God’s love through play, stories, and care. Volunteers play a vital role in helping create a safe, joyful space for babies and toddlers during worship services and special events.

Whether rocking an infant, leading a simple craft, or offering a comforting smile, volunteers help lay the foundation for each child’s early faith journey. No special skills are required—just a heart for children and a willingness to serve.
