Come Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit – Sear Our Conscience
- Tim McConnell
Jun. 12
The Holy Spirit comes into our lives as a guide, helping our conscience hear right and wrong. We become deadened and numb, deaf to God’s guidance, when we choose a path of disobedience. God does not chase us down the road begging. But, the minute we will turn again, the Holy Spirit is there to renew our conscience and guide our path. Imagine having no guide. This is a great mercy of God, who takes no pleasure in seeing us fulfill our own destructive tendencies. Ultimately, Jesus is our watchman and the one who takes our place. He takes the consequences of sin to the end of the road so we can turn around and make it home.
