With over 15 years of experience in Leadership and Human Resources Management, Garrett is a strategic and results-driven HR leader dedicated to driving organizational success through innovative talent management, employee engagement, and culture development. As the Human Resources Director, Garrett plays a critical role in shaping First Pres’s HR strategy and aligning it with the overall organizational mission to create a thriving workplace culture. Garrett brings more than 3 years of HR experience to this role having served as the Director of Human Resources for Chick-fil-A and an additional eight years of leadership experience as a Naval Officer serving at various bases including Naval Air Station Pensacola, and Naval Air Station North Island. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Garrett became a member of First Pres in 2020 but started his personal relationship with Jesus Christ through First Pres’s “Grilled Cheese Tuesday” in 2007 as a student at Palmer high school. Garrett and his wife Elizabeth have been married for since 2017 and recently welcomed their first child Joseph in 2024. In his spare time, Garrett enjoys hiking, mountain biking, reading and spending time with his family.
