True life is on the other side of the Cross of Christ. Though we want to deny the need to be saved or the reality and depth of our sinfulness, we cannot escape it. If we deny Christ’s saving death and claim we don’t need it, our lives will be lost. If we give our lives to Christ in humility and repentance, that is the only way our lives will be saved in the end.
