Supporting the Incoming Class of Fellows

The First Pres Young Adults will serve and learn in connection with our ministry partners in Patzun and San Pablo, Guatemala. During our time together, we hope to learn and grow in our understanding of the Gospel and our role in the world as witnesses of God’s Kingdom come on earth. During our time in the land of the eternal spring, we will learn first-hand what God has been doing, especially in and through the ministry leaders, churches, young adults and youth in Patzun and San Pablo. Itinerary includes 3 days in Patzun, Chimaltenango; 3 days in San Pablo, Solalá; and a day and a half in Panajchel at beautiful Lake Atitlán. At the end of the trip, we will make our way to the El Carmen border crossing and depart from Tapachula, Mexico. Topics we will engage in include leadership development, discipleship, entrepreneurship, marginalization, migration, clean water/sanitation, education and the effects of poverty in these communities. Trip is being led by: Ellen Dawson, Missions Pastor; Parker Samelson, Young Adult Director; and Tom Yaccino, Founder & Lead Connector of Del Camino Connection
